  • I love this place. We always eat here at least once on our trips to the area. Great food and such a fun outdoor dining experience. I love the Ramen and the Salmon Poke bowl is another favorite. I took this one to go so I added fresh micro greens that I had gotten at the Hoodland Farmers Market. Anyways, it is my favorite place to eat when we visit Mt Hood. I just looked at some other reviews and it seems some folks have some pretty high expectations for a food truck in a tiny mountain village. They need to learn how to relax on mountain time. No, this isn't Michelin star worthy food but it is good food and the experience is worth it if you take the time to stop prioritizing negativity and just enjoy it for what it is.

  • What a beautiful atmosphere with many options from seating/hanging out before your food is ready. Including hammocks, a fountain water feature, a school bus, covered and heating picnic table area. I ordered a refreshing cocktail and 4 different sushi rolls and masubi to-go. I was curious about the mushroom roll option and was politely encouraged by the staff to give it a try. It turned out to be my favorite roll! The masubi was an excellent snack to have later in the day. 10/10 recommend. The gift shop was lovely too with lots of interesting trinkets to purchase.

  • A really great unique stop on the way to Mt. Hood- kitchen, cafe with Japanese influence. A serene and great experience. The cafe has wonderful menu and the gift shop is second to none with many special gifts.

  • Koya Kitchen is a total vibe. Love the ambiance. Food is made and served from a permanent food truck behind the random gift shop which serves drinks and cocktails. They also have a nice selection of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. The Pad Thai special we ordered was made with a spicy base and though it was delicious my boyfriend was disappointed since pad Thai is traditionally made with a ya by tamarind base and is not supposed to be spicy. We swapped orders and he had my Tonkatsu ramen instead which was very tasty but nothing special. This spot is the only place in the area that offers something other than hamburgers and chicken wings that is typical of Zigzag/Government Camp. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly. You have to bus your own table.

  • Had a great lunch with family. This place has an awesome outdoor atmosphere with plenty of places to find a spot whether you have a small or large group. There are a lot of fun and cozy places to sit which adds to the atmosphere of this place. We met the owner while there and you could tell she takes pride in her restaurant and sharing the experience with the people who visit. The food was good and there were plenty of options.

  • Cozy little restaurant where you can order out at the cart and eat inside or out in the patio. Environment is nice and welcoming. Staff was friendly.

  • We feel so luck to have stumbled upon this place on our way through town! I wish I could give ten stars for "Atmosphere"! Hammocks, tables, an old school bus(!), picnic tables, a long table for groups (open air but with a roof overhead), and more options for comfortable seating either in the shade or in the sun, your choice. The food selection isn't immense for vegetarians, but there are adequate options and the two entrees we ordered were very good, with large portions. We thought it was so cool that the "wait time" sign was color-coded to let you know how long the wait for your order would likely be. We ordered our food first, then went into the gift shop to order drinks (got an iced matcha latte and a bottle of ginger beer, which were also very good). All staff were friendly and helpful. There's a bathroom in the gift shop that was clean and functional. Highly recommended!

  • This is a fun quirky place with a great outdoor vibe. It’s food truck style for food with an indoor bar area. Food was unique and delicious, I wish there was a little more protein in my noodles though. Staff were friendly however wait time was extremely long on a Saturday evening. Their sign said the food wait was 35min but we were waiting for over an hour for our food.
